Normal management operations may be carried out during the transfer, however
the response time may be a little slower than usual.
Stage 3 – Monitoring
• Verify that the transfer is taking place by consulting the object:
mgnt2LoadState
downloading(2) indicates transfer is in progress
idle(1) indicates transfer is complete

This object returns the status of the file. At this stage it should be downloading.
• Track progress of the transfer by consulting the object:

This returns the transfer progress as a percentage.
In the event of an incorrect completion of this phase, or reception of a trap
message, see Fall Back 5 for reverse procedure. (Fall Back Procedures).
In the case of a Gateware transfer or a Software transfer using the Immediate
method the generic slot MS is now upgraded.

3. Activation Phase
The object of this phase is to switch the new code into service. These operations are to
be carried out only in the case where the Manual method was previously selected.
To activate the new code a reset must take place.
• In the case of a Software change, a Cold or Warm Reset will achieve this,
selecting the bank containing the new Software
• In the case of a Gateware change, a Cold reset is required selecting the bank
containing the new Gateware

Verification
Check the upgrade and erase unwanted files.
When the new code is in service perform an inventory check for your records:
